Additional information

Phototransformation in air: Key study: the rate constant for the vapor-phase reaction of trichloroacetic acid with photochemically-produced hydroxyl radicals is 5.2 x 10-13 cm3/molecule-sec at 25º C. This corresponds to an atmospheric half-life of about 20,569 days (12 -hours day) at an atmospheric concentration of 1,5 x 10+6 hydroxyl radicals/cm3. (Calculation by EPI Suite v3.20, EPA (USA)/ AopWin v1.92).

Hydrolisis: Data waiving: Trichloroacetic acid is not expected to undergo hydrolysis in the environment due to the lack of functional groups that hydrolyze under environmental conditions.
