Description of key information

A Klimisch 1 rated acute fish toxicity test was conducted in 2003. A 96 -hour LC50 of 32.3 mg/l was calculated.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

LC50 for freshwater fish:
32.3 mg/L

Additional information

In an acute toxicity test, rainbow trout were exposed to the test substance undecylenic acid for 96 hours under semi-static conditions. The test was conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 203. Mortality and sublethal effects were found only at the three highest treatment levels. A 96 -hour LC50 of 32.3 mg/l was calculated based on geometric mean measured concentrations.
