Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions

Any other information on results incl. tables

An endothermic effect was detected at 270 – 290 °C. No further exothermic effects were detected until the final measurement temperature of 400 °C. After the measurement a black residue remained in the basket.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test item has no self-heating at atmospheric pressure until the final measurement temperature of 400 °C.
Executive summary:

The objective of this study was the determination of the relative self-ignition temperature of the test item according to VDI 2263, sheet 1 and UN Class 4, Division 4.2.

The pure test item indicated no self-heating at atmospheric pressure until the final measurement temperature of 400 °C. After the measurement a black residue remained in the basket.
