Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

Analysis of dimethyl sulfide samples in freshwater following 1 hour of shaking were 91.4 +/- 0.751% (CV 0.822%) of the nominal concentration. Following 48 anf 96 hours of shaking, the recoveries were 87.8 +/- 1.04% (CV 1.18%) and 85.6 +/- 0.755% (CV 0.882%) of the nominal concentration, respectively.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The stability of dimethylsulfide in freshwater at 20 +/- 1°C over a 96h period ranged from 91.4 +/- 0.751% (CV 0.822%) to 85.6 +/- 0.755% (CV 0.882%) of the nominal concentration of 10.2 mg/L.
Executive summary:

The stability of dimethylsulfide in freshwater was determined in a solution at 10.2 mg/L (nominal concentration) after 1, 48 and 96 hours.

The stability ranged from 91.4 +/- 0.751% (CV 0.822%) to 85.6 +/- 0.755% (CV 0.882%) of the nominal concentration of 10.2 mg/L. Kendall (1999) is GLP-compliant, non-guideline study, with the method developed at Wildlife International. The study follows scientific principles and is considered suitable for use for this endpoint.
