Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline study according OECD 201 has been conducted (BASF SE 2014). Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata has been used as test organism. Due to the low solubility of the test substance saturated solutions have been prepared for every concentration (differential loading). After 72 h exposure no toxic effects have been observed within the range of solubility and up to the highest tested concentration. Therefore, EC10 and EC 50 were determined to be above 320 mg/L (nominal).

Concentration control analyses were not performed, because a reliable method for analyses in the required concentration range could not be developed.
