Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline study according to OECD 202 (limit test) and using Daphnia magna has been conducted (BASF SE 2014). Due to the low solubility of the test item a limit-test using a saturated solution has been performed. After 48 h of exposure no effects occurred up to the limit of solubility and, therefore, the EL50 was determined to be above 100 mg/L (nominal).

Concentration control analyses are not performed, because a reliable method for analyses in the required concentration range could not be developed. However all reasonable efforts were taken to produce a saturated solution of all soluble components of the test substance in test media. The term “loading rate” is advocated to express exposure to a WAF and is considered analogous to the nominal concentration. According to OECD 23, for tests with chemicals that can not be quantified by analytical methods at the concentrations causing effects, the effect concentration can be expressed based on the nominal concentrations or loading rate.
