Materials and methods

Type of sensitisation studied:
skin
Study type:
study with volunteers
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The undiluted test substance was applied to the skin of 214 volunteers under occlusive conditions for 72 h. The test site was observed for skin reactions after removal of the patch. 10 to 14 days after removal of the first patch the test substance was applied to the same area under occlusive conditions for 48 h. The skin reactions were scored thereafter.
