Description of key information

A test on flammability is technically not possible, as the test substance is a liquid. For liquids, the primary value for ease of ignition is the flash point (IUCLID section 4.11). 
6 -Ethyl-2 -toluidine has no pyrophoric properties. Experience in production or handling shows that the substance does not ignite spontaneously on coming into contact with air at normal temperatures (i.e. the substance is known to be stable at room temperature for prolonged periods of time) (Currenta, 2009).
6 -Ethyl-2 -toluidine does not emit flammable gases in contact with water. The chemical structure of the substance does not contain metals or metalloids (see Manual of Tests and Criteria, appendix 6, article 5.3) (Currenta, 2009).
