Description of key information

Hydrocarbons, C12-C16, isoalkanes, cyclics, <2% aromatics, biodegraded to an extent of 18% after 28 days and 25% after 37 days in a test of ready biodegradability. These results suggest that the test substance is not readily biodegradable, but can be characterized as inherently biodegradable. These data are used as read-across data to hydrocarbons, C14-C17, isoalkanes, cyclics, <2% aromatics.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
