In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the study does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable.

In accordance with REACH Annex IX column 1 soil simulation testing does not need to be conducted since the substance has a low potential for adsorption to soil as reflected by a log Kow of -0.7 - 1.1. Additionally, the substance is used exclusively in manufacture of polymers/elastomers, where it is completely reacted into these products; and as a result will have no direct or indirect exposures to the soil environment.
