Description of key information

Due to ready biodegradability hydrolysis could be disregarded for the constituent EC 500-029-3. A study on hydrolysis gave that the other constituent of the substance, EC 500-044-5, is hydrolytically stable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Hydrolysis may adequately described considering study results for both constituents of the substance.

EC 500-029-3

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the study does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable.

EC 500-044-5

Polyether V531 is found to be stable at 50 °C at all three pH-values. Therefore it can be assumed that the test item is also stable at 25 °C and no half-life times and hydrolysis rates were calculated.
