Description of key information

The flash point of the Isosorbide di-octanoate is > 200°C measured with the Pensky Martens method.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
200 °C

Additional information

The flash point of the substance Isosorbide Di-octanoate (CAS N. 64896-70-4) has been determined according to EU method A9 using the Pensky Martens method, and in compliance with the GLP,

No bursting sound and no flame were seen till the temperature in the sample cup reached 200°C. Since the sample temperature cannot increase more than 200°C in the conditions of the test, the flash point is considered as > 200°C.
