Administrative data
First-aid measures
Skin contact : Wash off with soap and water.
Ingestion : Rinse mouth with plenty of water. Consult a physician.
Inhalation : Take person to fresh air. Keep at rest. Consult a physician if necessary.
Fire-fighting measures
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.Regular fire intervention clothes.
Further information : Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.Keep away from heat.
Accidental release measures
Personal protective equipment: Eye-wash bottle with clean water. Goggles giving complete protection to the eyes. Solvent-resistant gloves.
Personal precautions : See section : Handling and Storage.
Environmental precautions : Avoid subsoil penetration. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Methods for cleaning up : Collect the product in a plastic vessel. Carefully collect leftovers. Shovel into suitable container for disposal.
Additional advice : Keep away from heat or open flame.
See also in section 8 (exposure controls/personal protection) and 13 (disposal considerations).
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling : Avoid dust formation.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Keep away from heat or open flame.
Dust explosion class : Dust explosion danger (large destruction power)

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure controls
Engineering measures : See section : Handling and Storage.
Personal protective equipment: Gloves resistant to chemicals. Suitable respiratory protective device.
Respiratory protection : In case of heavy air pollution a dust mask P2 is to be worn.
Eye protection : Safety glasses.
Stability and reactivity
Thermal decomposition : When exposed to heat or open flame emission of toxic or caustic fumes: silver
Hazardous reactions : Reacts with amines, acetylene, oxalic aciq and forms explosive compounds.
Disposal considerations
Effluent regulations/discharge/treatment/contents may vary from one area to another. Please consult the local regulations regarding the disposal of this material. According to local regulations, the disposal should be made through a licensed chemical waste disposal service. Transport to an
authorized silver recovery installation for disposal.
