Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on a Koc value of 2,658,608 L/kg on the read-across substance C12-16 ADBAC, C12-14 ADMAES is expected to bind strongly to soil and sediment. However, the substance is ready biodegradable and has a low BCF value (i.e., 69.22 L/kg ww), and is therefore not expected to persist in sediment.
Freshwater and marine sediment PNEC value of 9.27 mg/kg dw and 0.927 mg/kg dw were determined with the equilibrium partitioning method.

Additional information

A sediment PNEC value of 9.27 mg/kg dwwas determined with the equilibrium partitioning method as follows:

PNECsediment freshwater = Ksusp-water * PNECaquatic * 1000 * 1 / RHOsusp (ECHA guidance document R10, May, 2008).

The sediment marine water PNEC value of 0.927 mg/kg dwwas determined with the equilibrium partitioning method using the equation:

PNECsediment marine water = Ksusp-water* PNECmarinewater * 1000 * 1 / RHOsusp (ECHA guidance document R10, May, 2008).
