Description of key information

Additional information

The substance is inherently ultimately biodegradable, i.e. biotically unstable as 100% of the substance are biological degraded within 14 days at the latest, under inherent biodegradation conditions. Based on this finding, it is considered unlikely, that the substance passes waste water treatment and reaches the environment.Though the substance is considered mobile, based on its log KOC of 1.92, contamination of environmental compartments like surface waters, sediment, soil and groundwater via horizontal and vertical transport is not expected, as the substance is well biodegradable, as described above. The substance is furthermore not bioaccumulative. Hence, further hazard assessments for surface water, sediment, soil, and groundwater compartments of the environment are not required, according to Annex VII to Annex X of EC regulation 1907/2006 (REACH).

The CSA conducted for this substances confirms the above, i.e., there is no risk for the environment, since Risk Characterization Ratios for all uses of this CSR are below 1.
