Description of key information

The maximum burning rate of mixture formed with the barium hexaferrite is lower than the maximum burning rate of the reference mixture of cellulose and barium nitrate.

Additional information

According to A.17 method "Oxidising properties", the substance is not considered an oxidising substance: the maximum burning rate of mixture formed with the substance under investigation is lower than the maximum burning rate of the reference mixture of cellulose and barium nitrate.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Directive 67/548/EEC and to Regulation (EC) n. 1272/2008, study results indicate that the substance should not be classified for oxidising properties.
