In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII and column 2 of REACH Annex IX, studies on adsorption/desorption do not need to be conducted based on the physicochemical properties. The substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption. Indeed, barium hexaferrite is almost insoluble in water. Since the substance exists only in crystalline form as solid substance no adsorption to suspended solids and sediment is expected. Due to its high density, barium hexaferrite is expected to be deposited on the ground of environmental waters.
