Additional information

The substance Paraffins (petroleum), normal C>10, was found to be a clear petroleum product. It is a liquid at 20°C and 1 atm with a colour +19 saybolt colour. The pour point was found at -3°C and the boiling point range between 193.5°C and 299°C at 1 atm. The density of the substance was noted at 0.7626 g/cm3 at 15°C and the vapour pressure value was estimated to be higher than 5 Pa at 20°C. Based on a read across from the substance C11 -C14, n-alkanes, the surface tension of Paraffins (petroleum), normal C>10 is expected to be 30 mN/m. The flash point was found higher than 60°C (at 81°C), therefore, the substance is considered non flammable. The self-ignition temperature is higher than 200°C based on a read across from two substances (C10 -C13 and C14 -C19, n-alkanes, <2% aromatics). At 40°C, the viscosity of the substance was found 1.88 mm2/s.

The substance is soluble in organic solvents but its solubility in water was not tested becuase the substance is Substance is a hydrocarbon UVCB and tests are not intended for complex substances. No tests were needed for the granulometry as the substance is not a solid.
