First-aid measures
Self-protection of the first aider: No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. It may be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to mouth resuscitation. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Inhalation: If breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Skin Contact: IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing. If irritation (redness, rash, blistering) develops, get medical attention.
Eye Contact: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If irritation develops and persists, get medical attention.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Substance is not classified as flammable, but will burn on contact with flame or exposure to high temperature. Use extinguishing media that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Direct water jet may spread the fire.
Specific hazards during firefighting: Direct water jet may spread the fire. Decomposes in a fire giving off toxic fumes: Carbon monoxide, Carbon dioxide.
Avoid run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Fight fire with normal precautions from a reasonable distance. Fire fighters should wear complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire. Avoid release to the environment.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Caution - spillages may be slippery. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Shut off leaks if without risk. Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of spillages.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapours.
Environmental precautions: Prevent uncontrolled releases to sewers, drains or other watercourses.
Methods for cleaning up: Adsorb spillages onto sand, earth or any suitable adsorbent material.
Dispose of contents in accordance with local, state or national legislation.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Ensure operatives are trained to minimise exposures. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapours. Use personal protective equipment as required. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Keep only in original container. Store in a cool/low-temperature, well-ventilated (dry) place away from heat and ignition sources.
Incompatible materials: None known.
