Preliminary Test
The preliminary test at room temperature showed, that the water solubility of the test item was between 67.95 g/L and 181.2 g/L. The observations of the preliminary test are summarized in the following table.

The solubility of the test item in water at room temperature was estimated to be ≥ 67.95 g/L and ≤ 181.2 g/L. Therefore, the flask method was performed.
Main Test (flask method)
For the main test two flasks were prepared with an amount of test item and water, and one flask only with water.
After two hours of stirring at a temperature 30 °C, it was observed, that the solution with 55.74 g of test item in 50 mL was completely dissolved. Due to this result, the test was aborted and a second flask with 10.27 g of test item in 5 mL was prepared and stirred at 30 °C. Since the test item also dissolved completely after a short period of time, additional 4.79 g of the test item were added to the solution. This solution could not be stirred anymore, since it turned into a clear, high viscous and sticky liquid.
The main test was aborted, since an over saturated solution, which could be stirred, could not be achieved up to a mass concentration of 3012 g/L and the water solubility is estimated to be greater than 2054 g/L. The results of the test are summarized in the following table.

Final Results
According to OECD Test Guideline 105 (1995) and Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.6. the water solubility at 20 °C of the test item was estimated to be > 2054 g/L.
Description of key information
Water solubility: > 2054 g/L at 20 °C (EU Method A.6, flask method)
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
An over saturated solution that could be stirred could not be achieved. The water solubility is estimated to be greater than 2054 g/L.
