Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Decomposition

In both measurements, colour changes were observed from 158 °C. The sample turned from yellowish to dark brown.

The decomposition was not spontaneous and extended over a larger temperature range. No further decomposition was observed after the sample was removed from the apparatus at the beginning of decomposition.

Description of key information

Melting point: 126.4 °C at ca. 1013 hPa (OECD Guideline 102, capillary method)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
126.4 °C

Additional information

Decomposition was observed starting at temperature ≥ 158 °C

Atmospheric pressure not reported. Based on capillary method, ca. 1013 hPa can be assumed.
