Additional information

According to Annex VII Column 2, 8.1, of the REACH Regulation the skin irritaiton / corrosion study need not to be conducted, if the substance is a strong acid (pH ≤ 2,0) or base (pH ≥ 11,5) and the available information indicates that it should be classified as skin corrosion (Category 1). The test substance is harmonised classified as Skin corr. 1B in Annex VI to CLP Regulation. Therefore, no additional testing with respect to skin irritation / corrosion is required.

According to Annex VII Column 2, 8.2, of the REACH Regulation the testing for eye damage / eye irritation need not to be conducted, if the substance is classified as skin corrosion, leading to classification as serious eye damage (Category 1). The test substance is harmonised classified as Skin corr. 1B in Annex VI to CLP Regulation. Therefore, no additional testing with respect to eye damage / eye irritation is required.
