Remarks on result:
other: converted: 3.540 g/L
Conclusions:
The solubility of 2,5-xylenol in water was determined spectrophotometrically at 25 °C as 0.029 mol/L (3.540 g/L).
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:

Key result
Water solubility:
0.026 other: mol/L
Temp.:
25 °C
pH:
5.1
Remarks on result:
other: converted 3.18 g/L
Details on results:
For both methods, spectrophotometric method and colorimetric, the determination of solubility of 2,5-xylenol results in the same value.
Conclusions:
The solubility of 2,5-xylenol was measured with two different methods. Once photospectrometrically, once colorimetrically. The results derived from both determinations are the same: Solubility of 2,5-xylenol at 25 °C and a pH of 5.1 is 0.026 mol/L (3.18 g/L).
Endpoint:
