Description of key information

According to the OECD-guideline 202 the short-term toxicity of disodium-naphthalene-1,5-disulphonate on Daphnia-magna was determined. Disodium-naphthalene-1,5-disulfonate was chosen as surrogate of naphthalene-1,5-disulphonic acid. Nine concentrations in the range of 0.1 to 1000 mg/L were tested. Up to the concentration of 1000 mg/L no effect on Daphnia-magna was obseved within 48 hours depending on mobility. The substance is not toxic for Daphnia. To calculate an EC50-value was not possible, therefore a 48h-EC0 of >= 1000 mg/L can be reported.

Additional information

Due to no effect within 48 hours was observed on Dapnia-magna up to a concentration of 1000 mg/L, no calculation of an EC50-value was possible.

A 48h-EC0 of >= 1000 mg/L was reported.
