Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Executive summary:
The granulometry of Ethyleneglycol dibenzoate was determined in accordance with
European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), Guidance on information requirements and chemical
safety assessment, Chapter R.7a, Endpoint specific guidance, May 2008.
Light microscopic examination revealed that the product contains some fines in addition to
the flakes. The fraction < 100 μm resulting from sieving on a 100 μm screen is 5.2%m/m.
The PSD characteristics of this fraction are reported in the table below.
Characteristics of the PSD
d10 [μm] 10.6
d50 [μm] 49.4
d90 [μm] 110
From the whole product 0.48% is < 10 μm and 0.22% is < 5 μm.

Reference
Light microscopic examinations:
Pictures of the sample were taken with the Stemi 2000-c microscope assembled with an
AxioCam ICc 3 digital camera.
This picture shows the flakes, with some smaller particles attached to them or loose. The shape of the product is non-fibrous. After sieving, another picture was taken from the fraction < 100 μm. The shape of these fines is also non-fibrous.
The characteristics of the PSD of the fraction < 100 μm are:

d10 [μm] 10.6
d50 [μm] 49.4
d90 [μm] 110
From the whole product 0.48% is < 10 μm and 0.22% is < 5 μm.
Description of key information
The product form is mainly flakes, a fraction of 5.2% is < 100 μm. From the whole product 0.48% is < 10 μm and 0.22% is < 5 μm.
