Description of key information

The Pow and log Pow value of the test substance at 20°C were ≤ 2.07 x 10^-3 and ≤ -2.68, respectively.

The octanol-water partition coefficient of this ionizable substance was estimated from the ratio of estimated solubilities in 1 -octanol and in water. The octanol solubility was estimated to be 2.07 g/L, while the substance is miscible in water (1,000 g/L). It should be noted that this value of log Pow = -2.68 represent that for an ionized form of the test substance, which is more representative of the partitioning behavior in the environment (pH ~ 7) as opposed to the log Pow which could be estimated for pH condition where the substance is fully non-ionized (pH < 2).
