relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid having a melting point <= 160°C
auto-ignition temperature (liquids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
according to guideline
EU Method A.15 (Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases))
GLP compliance:
Auto-ignition temperature:
424 °C
Atm. press.:
1 005 - 1 011 mBar
Remarks on result:
The auto-ignition temperature of test substance was determined to be 424°C
Executive summary:

In this guideline (EU A.15) study conducted with GLP certification, the auto flammability temperature of the test material (EC 213-426-9) was determined to be 424 ºC.

Description of key information

The registered substance is a solid at 20°C and 1013 hPa. This data requirement is not required under REACH (1907/2006), Annex VII, 7.12, Column 2, as the registered substances is solid and has a melting temperature ≤ 160°C.

In an ISO EN 14522 test the registered substance was found to have an auti ignition temperature of 424 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
424 °C

Additional information

The determination was performed according to EN 14522.
