Additional information

Supporting information: Experimental results:

A model of BALB/c mice received Zinc acetate in drinking water concentrations of 500 and 1000 mg/L during the periods of gestation, lactation and postweaning. In mice exposed in utero to 136 mg zinc/kg bw/day, with exposure continuing postnatally, there were increases in direct plaque-forming activity of spleen cells and in lymphocyte proliferation in response to mitogen stimulation.

The LOAEL was 136 mg/kg bw/day for male and female mice (increases in direct plaque-forming activity of spleen cells and in lymphyocyte proliferation in response to mitogen stimulation).
