Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Read Across:

Based on the experimental results (reported under the endpoint record 06.01.07_03 zinc oxide) obtained with the analogue zinc oxide (EC0 for Clostridium sp. in a static test was equal or greater than 4.8 µmol/L), the read-across approach was applied and the EC0 for Clostridium sp. with the substance zinc acetate is calculated to be equal or greater than 4.8 µmol/L under test conditions (0.881mg/L).

Based on the experimental results (reported under the endpoint record 06.01.07_01 NaAc) obtained with the analogue sodium acetate (16 h-EC50 for Pseudomonas putida in a static test was 7.2 g/L, and EC10 was 3.5 g/L), and the molecular weights, the read-across approach was applied and the 16h-EC50 for Pseudomonas putida with the substance zinc acetate is calculated to be 8.05 g/L, and EC 10 is estimated to 3.91 g/L under test conditions.

Based on the experimental results (reported under the endpoint record 06.01.07_05 zinc sulfate) obtained with the analogue zinc sulfate (EC50 determined for the substance was 5200 µg/L) the read-across was applied and EC50 for zinc acetate is calculated to be 5926

µg/L.
