Description of key information

LC50 (96 h) > 100 mg/L for Brachydanio rerio (OECD 203, limit test)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One GLP study according to OECD Guideline 203 was performed in order to investigate the toxicity of Y-15099 (CAS 220727-26-4) to freshwater fish (Bätscher, 2001). The zebra fish, Brachydanio rerio, was exposed to a filtered test solution of nominal 100 mg/L for 96 h. No mortality and no signs of intoxication were detected resulting in a NOEC of = 100 mg/L and a LC50 of > 100 mg/L. Chemical analysis of test solutions showed a drop of test item concentration in the test vessels (mean measured concentration: 0.017 mg/L) which is related to the hydrolytic instability of the test substance. Therefore, the hydrolytic degradation products were tested in this study as well.
