Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

One valid key study from 1997 on Zebra fish is available (OECD 203) and is used for deriving an LC50 value.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water fish

Fresh water fish
Effect concentration:
60.3 mg/L

Additional information

The study on Zebra fish yielded a LC50(96h) of 60.3 mg/L. No analytical determinations of actual test substance concentrations were made and the test media were turbid. As the water solubility of Resin 835 A is very low (ca. 1 or even below 0.1 mg/L), it is apparent that Resin 835 A was not tested as a solution.

A more recent study (2002) with fathead minnows on the chemically related substance rosin (CAS 8050-09-7) was performed using a loading rate of 1000 mg/L. No mortalities occurred and the LL50(96h) was >1000 mg/L.
