LUFA 2.2 SOIL

The NOEC for growth was determined to be 200 and 209 mg/kg
as calculated by the added and total risk approach
respectively.

The NOEC for reproduction was determined to be 400 and 409
mg/kg as determined by the added and total risk approach
respectively.

OECD SOIL

The NOEC for growth was determined to be 800 mg/kg as
calculated by both the added and total risk approach.

The NOEC for reproduction was determined to be 400 mg/kg as
calculated by both the added and total risk approach.

No other information was reported.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The Reliability: high quality NOEC values are between 200 and 800 mg/kg (growth) and 400 mg/kg (reproduction) for F. candida
The details are reported in section 6.3.1.
Executive summary:

CL-Freetext:

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of copper

on the growth and reproduction of Folsomia candida over a

56-day exposure period. The Cu2+ ion was delivered as

copper chloride and tested in two different artificial soils

OECD (pH 6, organic matter 10%, clay 20%) and LUFA 2.2 (pH

5.8, organic matter 3.9%, clay 5.1%).
