First aid facilities: No special recommendations.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:
Small fire Suitable: Non-combustible. Use suitable extinguishing media: water, foam, fire extinguishing powder, and/or sand.
Large fireSuitable: Non-combustible. Use suitable extinguishing media: water, foam, fire extinguishing powder, and/or sand.
Unusual fire/explosion hazards: No specific hazard. Possible emission of gases in contact with fire: CO, CO2, SO2.
Hazardous thermal decomposition products: No specific data.
Special fire-fighting procedures: No special measures required.
Protection of fire-fighters: Wear suitable protective clothing. Self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:
Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel away from the spillage. Do not touch the spilt product. Wear protective clothing and gloves.
Environmental precautions: Avoid the direct discharge in the sewer or in superficial waters. In case of large spillage, dike to contain the drainage.
Clean-up Methods:
Small spill and leak: Take up with suitable material. Place in a suitable container for the elimination. Clean up affected area with a large amount of water.
Large spill and leak: Absorb spillage with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth) and place in a suitable waste container. Clean up affected area with a large amount of water.

Hygiene measures: No specific measures other than general rules of safety and industrial hygiene.
Personal protective equipment –
Production scale -
Respiratory system: No special protection is required.
Skin and body: Working clothes.
Hands: Wear suitable gloves. Recommended material(s): 4-8 hours (breakthrough time): Natural rubber (latex).Replace damaged gloves.
Advice on personal protection is applicable for high exposure levels. Select proper personal protection based on a risk assessment of the actual exposure situation.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable in ambient temperature and under recommended storage and handling conditions.
Conditions to avoid: Temperatures below 0 °C
Materials to avoid: Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents.
Decompostion products: Possible release of CO2 and SO2 at elevated temperature.

Disposal considerations

Methods of disposal (waste of residues; contaminated packaging): Waste product residues should not be disposed of in sewers and superficial waters but processed in a suitable treatment plant complying with the requirements of environmental protection, waste disposal legislation and any local regulations.
