Description of key information

The calculated partition coefficient of the test substance between n-octanol and aqueous phase is ca. -10 (log Pow). A log Kow value of -1 is used in the assessment (minimum value for EUSES).

Additional information

In a GLP compliant study, performed according to the OECD guideline 107, the shaking flask method was used to determine the partition coefficient of the test substance between n-octanol and aqueous phase (Ciba-Geigy 1991). However, it was shown that the Pow could not be determined and had to be estimated by using the calculation method described in OECD guideline 117. The calculated partition coefficient of the test substance was estimated to be ca. -10 (log Pow).
