Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely

Description of key information

No study on terrestrial arthropods is available.

Further testing on terrestrial toxicity is not justified.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX and X, studies on terrestrial toxicity do not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for adsorption (log Kow = 2.53). No significant concentrations are expected in the soil compartment. This is supported by exposure assessment carried out using CHESAR, indicating low exposure to the terrestrial compartment.

The PNEC soil was derived by equilibrium partitioning method. All the relevant RCRs derived from exposure assessment are well below 1, therefore the available information can be considered sufficient. In conclusion further testing on terrestrial toxicity is not justified.
