Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
First aid: general information: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.
First aid inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If feeling unwell seek medical advice.
First aid skin: Wash off immediately with plenty of water. Consult a physician immediately if skin is irritated or reddened.
First aid eye: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
First aid ingestion: Rinse out mouth. If conscious, drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Consult a physician immediately.
Hints for physican: symptoms: To the best of our knowledge, experiences about acute systemic health effects in human beings are not available.
Hints for physican: treatment: No specific antidote known. Symptomatic treatment. If necessary, administer activated charcoal (10-20g) and sodium
sulfate (20g).
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media: water spray, foam, CO2, dry powder
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
Hazards during fire-fighting: In the case of fire, the following hazardous smoke fumes may be produced: Carbon oxides, Nitrous gases, ammonia
Protective equipment for fire-fighting: In case of fire: full protective suit and wear a self contained respiratory apparatus.
Fire-fighting / further advice: Use water spray to cool unopened containers. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be
disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Environmental Precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Dike or contain spill. Shut off source of leak if safe to do so.
Methods for cleaning or taking up: Take up mechanically or with an absorbent material (sand, diatomaceous earth, universal absorbent, sawdust).
Fill into marked, sealable containers. To be disposed of in compliance with existing regulations.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling: Avoid formation of aerosol. Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. Handle and open container with care. If possible, use
material transfer/filling, metering and blending plants that are closed, or provide for local suction devices.
Fire and explosion protection: Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
Storage requirements: Advice Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Suitable: mild steel, stainless steel
Unsuitable: aluminium, copper
Further info on storage conditions: Observe prohibition against storing together !

Exposure controls / personal protection
Advice on system design: Avoid formation of aerosol. If possible, use material transfer/filling, metering and blending plants that are closed, or
provide for local suction devices.
Respiratory Protection: In case of leakage or if TLV is exceeded wear respiratory equipment with suitable filter or a self contained respiratory
apparatus.
Hand protection:
Type of material nitrile rubber butyl-rubber PVC
Material thickness 0,35 mm 0,5 mm 0,5 mm
Breakthrough time > 480 min > 480 min > 480 min
Eye protection: close-fitting protective goggles (e.g. closed goggles)
Body protection: Use protective clothing / face shield if necessary.
Industrial hygiene: Do not inhale vapours / aerosols. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Remove immediately all contaminated clothing.
When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid: Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not smoke.
Substances to avoid: strong acids, strong oxidizing agents
Decomposition products: Ammonia
Thermal decomposition: 250 - 300 °C
Hazardous reactions: Vigorous reaction on contact with acids. Reacts violently with: strong oxidants.
Disposal considerations
In compliance with actual waste regulations, the product must be brought to a suitable disposal plant. No waste key number as per the European
Waste Types List can be assigned to this product, since such classification is based on the (as yet undetermined) use to which the product is put by the consumer. The waste key number must be determined as per the European Waste Types List (decision on EU Waste Types List 2000/532/EC) in
cooperation with the disposal firm / producing firm / official authority.
