Conclusions:
Test item 1,2,3 -Trichloropropane has a relative density of 1.3818 at 25 °C.
Executive summary:

According to the publication of the Dow Chemical Company from 1996, test item 1,2,3 -Trichloropropane has a relative density of 1.3818 at 25 °C.

Description of key information

Based on a Klimisch-1-rated key study of the Dow Chemical Company, the relative density of 1,2,3-Trichloropropane is 1.38 at 25 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.38

Additional information

In the 2004 SIDS dossier, data were evaluated from a study of the Dow Chemical Company (1.3813 g/cm3 at 25 °C) and from the CRC Handbook 2009 (1.3889 at 20 °C). Since both values are very consistently in the same range, the data set is considered as robust. Based on the Klimisch-1-rated key study of the Dow Chemical Company, the relative density of 1,2,3-Trichloropropane is 1.3818 at 25 °C.
