Studies on the toxicity of TCP to terrestrial invertebrates or vertebrates or on effects on ecosystems are not available. No data were identified on the toxic effects of this chemical on terrestrial plants. For the terrestrial compartment, the available toxicity studies measuring the inhibition of soil-bound microbial activity by TCP can not be regarded as sufficient to support a quantitative risk characterization (Kielhorn et al 2003). Due to the applied risk management measures (RMM) direct or indirect soil exposure is irrelevant. The equilibrium partitioning method (EPM) is applied for the hazard assessment.
