Photo transformation in air

In the atmosphere, 1-chloro-2-methylbenzene was shown to degrade in the presence of hydroxyl radicals. Assuming an OH-concentration of 500000 molecules/cm³ the atmospheric half-life of 1-chloro-2-methylbenzene accounts for 8.8 days and thus may indicate a potential for a long range atmospheric transport.
