Description of key information

The estimated dissociation constants were 2.95 and 0.5. From the results, it can be concluded that the test item would always be in its unionised form at an environmentally relevant pH.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Testing was not possible according to Method 112 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of chemicals, 12 May 1981, due to the unstable nature of the test item under acidic conditions and one of the dissociation constants was considered to be outside the scope of experimental procedures. Therefore, estimation of the dissociation constants was made using relevant computer-based estimation software.

Estimates of dissociation constants were obtained using computer based estimation software, SPARC physicochemical property calculator, version 4.6. The estimated dissociation constants were 2.95 and 0.5.

From the results, it can be concluded that the test item would always be in its unionised form at an environmentally relevant pH.
