Conclusion on classification

For classification purposes Ecotoxicity, Biodegradability and Bioaccumulation have to be considered.

Ecotoxicity

Acute Fish: 96 h - LC50 > 100 mg/L

Acute Daphnia: 48hr- EL50 = 94.9 mg/L

Acute Algae: 72hr- ErL50 = 43,2 mg/L

Chronic Daphnia: 21 d - NOELR > 1,4 mg/L

Chronic Algae: 72hr- ErL10 = 37 mg/L

Biodegradability

Based on the available studies on biodegradation, the substances is readily biodegradable according to the OECD 301D.

Bioaccumulation

An experimental study (OECD guideline 117) showed that log Kow > 6. Both experimental BCF values are < 500 L/kg and demonstrates no potential for bioaccumulation (WoE).

Conclusion on classification

All ecotoxicity values are above 1 mg/L. Based on these results, the registered substance is not classified for the aquatic environment according to the Classification, Labeling & Packaging Directive 1272/2008/EC regulation.
