Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The acute toxicity of the test item to fish was investigated in static system using Danio rerio (EEC/92/69, C.1). No mortality was observed after the exposure period of 96 hours. The LC50 and NOEC were determined to be > 100 mg/L. The test item is considered to be not toxic to fish.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of test item to fish was investigated in static system according EEC Commission Directive 92/69, C.1., adopted in 1992. Zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio/ Danio rerio) was used as model system. The test item is insoluble in water and therefore an aqueous extract of 100 mg/L loading rate, obtained by filtration, was tested. 7 fish (mean length of 2.9 cm) were used for the treatment group and for the control group (dilution water only). The actual test substance concentration in the filtrate was at the start of the exposure below the detection limit of 1 ng/L and therefore not determined 96 h thereafter. Slightly changed swimming behaviour was noted in the test substance group compared to the control group (the fish were located at the bottom of the test vessel from 24 hours after begin of exposure till the end of exposure). No mortality was observed after the exposure period of 96 hours. Therefore the test item is considered to be not toxic to fish.
