Description of key information

This substance is easily hydrolyzed into N-phenylmaleamic acid, and this transformed substances are maleic acid and aniline.
Based on the biodegradation test using microorganisms, it was not likely toxic to terrestrial plants.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

These endpoints are waived based upon REACH Annex IX Section 9.4 column 2 on grounds that the chemical safety assessment shows all RCRs are less than 1 from both direct and indirect exposure. The absence of indirect exposure is further supported by the substances low Koc value of 1.16.
