Description of key information

After evaporation or exposure to the air, the product will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in air:
5.8 h

Additional information

An AOP v1.92 calculation is available for the estimation of the photodegradation in the atmosphere. For this calculation a 24-hour day as well as a sensitizer-concentration (OH-radicals) of 500000 molecules/cm³ were assumed. The calculated rate constant of 66.3E-12 cm³/molecule-sec results in a half-life in the atmosphere of approx. 0.24 days (BASF SE 2011).
