Check of the Densitometer

The apparatus was checked with ultra-pure water.

The check of the apparatus showed that the instrument worked correctly and was fit for purpose.

Sample Measurement

The density of the test item was determined twice with independently prepared samples. The data, the mean of the densities, and its relative deviation are presented in the following table.

Using the nominal density of water at 4 °C (0.999972 g/cm³) the relative density of the test item was determined to be:

D420 = 0.9323

Discussion and Conclusion

The aim of the study was to determine the relative density of the test item at 20 °C. The mean relative density was determined to be 0.9323.
