Titration of acidity and alkalinity

Details on titrant used:
The experimental method used followed that described in CIPAC MT75. Test substance was dispersed into double distilled water at a rate of 10 g/L (1%) of active ingredient. The pH of this preparation, and the distilled water used to prepare the dilution, were measured with a calibrated pH meter.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The diluting water had a pH of 5.81. The three replicate test measurements were 3.41, 3.43 and 3.44, with a mean of 3.43. All measurements were taken at 20.0°C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The diluting water had a pH of 5.81. The three replicate test measurements were 3.41, 3.43 and 3.44, with a mean of 3.43. All measurements were taken at 20.0°C.
Executive summary:

The pH of an aqueous solution of Kathon 886 MW Biocide containing 1% w/v total active ingredient content was measured to be 3.43 (mean of three results), the diluting water had a pH of 5.81.
