The method provides a scheme of testing to determine whether a substance presents a danger of explosion when submitted to the effect of flame (thermal sensitivity), the mechanical sensitivity (sensitivity to impact) or to impact on friction (sensitivity to friction) For the thermal sensitivity three runs with an diameter of opening 2mm and also three runs with an diameter of opening 6 mm were performed. No explosion and no fragments were detected. For the mechanical sensitivity the falling weight test with 10 kg and a height of 0,4 m was performed. During the six runs no explosion and no flame were detected. The friction test has not been performed due to the physical form of the sample (liquid). Result: The test substance is not considered to exhibit a danger of explosion in the sense of the directive.

Reasons for omission of tests

Tests A 10, A 1 1, A 16 and A 17 have not been carried out because the substance is a liquid.

Test A 12 has not been carried out because the chemical structure of the test substance

does not contaiil metals or metalloids *.

Test A 13 has not been carried out because the substance is known to be stable at

room temperature for prolonged periods of time (days) *.

Test A 21 has not been carried out because the compound contains oxygen and

fluorine and chlorine which is chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen *.
