Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The environmental hazard assessment for (fresh-) water organisms and sediment habitats is supported by several acute studies (pelagic compartment) and by using scientific argumentation (sediment dwelling organisms).

For the environmental hazard assessment of the registered substance acute toxicity studies for freshwater fish, acute and chronic data are available for daphnids and freshwater algae from a read across substance. Furthermore STP microorganisms are available for a read across substance. Long-term studies for fish are waived. Experimental information about toxicity on marine organisms is not available.

The short-term EC50/LC50 values for fish, Daphnia, algae and microorganisms were 1.96,4.9, > 100 and 14 mg/L, respectively. Chronic data for daphnids and algae are 0.15 and 8.7 mg/L, respectively.

Fish are the most sensitive trophic level with an acute LC50 of 1.96 mg/L. For daphnids a chronic EC10 of 0.15 mg/L was obtained. This value will be used as worst case scenario for the risk assessment of aquatic organisms.
