Description of key information

Examination of the chemical structure of diisobutyl carbinol (DIBC) reveals that the substance cannot dissociate due to a lack of relevant functional groups. The substance does not contain hydrolytically unstable or ionisable groups. DIBC is not an ionisable organic substance and will not dissociate in water.
