Additional information

A 48 -hour acute toxicity study was available for the evaluation of diisobutyl carbinol (DIBC) to the daphnid, Daphnia magna. The study followed GLP, along with standard guidelines and was rated a Klimisch score of 2. The 24 -hour EC50 value ws 86.2 mg/L with a 95% confidence interval of 76.1 to 97.6 mg/L, while the 48 -hour EC50 value was 47.8 mg/L with a 95% confidence interval of 40.1 to 57.1 mg/L. Based on biological interpretation of the data and the highest exposure level exhibiting no immobility, mortality, or sublethal effects, the 48 -hour NOEC was 17.5 mg/L.
